Due to its growing popularity, Santa to the Sea will again be offering our 2 Person Relay event. Teams are made up of 2 runners who will each run 6.55 miles of the half marathon course.
Start time is 7:30 am. Registration for the Relay: Each runner can register individually. The Team Captain registers first and creates a team when prompted to do so. (Don’t forget to give your team a creative name). The second runner then registers and joins the team created by the captain. Teams are made up of 2 runners who will each run 6.55 miles of the half marathon course. Find team members within your office, school, running club, family or friends.
Along the course you will be encouraged and supported by local spectators, volunteers, and cheer-squads. You’ll be motivated
musically by the many bands we have lined up along the race. This point to point course starts at the historic Santa Claus
off of the 101 freeway, runs through Oxnard’s famous strawberry fields, then through downtown Oxnard and beautiful Plaza
Park. It is at this point your partner will be waiting for you for the handoff. Next will be historic Candy Cane Lane,
where the homes are decorated for the holidays. Finally, you’re off to the Pacific Ocean, and finishing at the Marine
Emporium Landing in the Channel Islands Harbor.
There are 8 Aid Stations out on the Santa to the Sea course roughly 2 miles apart. Water will be provided at the Start Line and Finish Line as well.
Aid Stations will have water and Fluid Performance Sports Drink at every location.
Aid Station 4 (located at the halfway point-Plaza Park) will have Gels, and some sugary and salty snacks to munch on.

Restrooms will be located at the Start and Finish Areas. Out on course restrooms will be located every Aid Station except the last one on Los Feliz and Sunset.
Santa to the Sea will be providing pace groups for the Half Marathon only. Each group will be led by an experienced runner who will keep you on track for your finish time. The pace groups are free for all registered runners. On race day, the pace leaders will be carrying signs with their designated pace time on it. Just look for your pacer, follow behind them. You do not need to sign up for a pace group.

All runners are asked to bring an UNWRAPPED toy or gift of at least $10 in value to the event..
Our Half Marathoners and Relay runners can drop off their toy at the Starting Line Santa Statue. Our 5K runners can drop off their toy at the Finish Line/EXPO, in the Marine Emporium Landing, before the race begins.
What Kind of Toy/Gift to Bring: In addition to toys, we have many infants (ages 0–6 months) that need sleepers and clothing. We also have many older children who need gifts as well, so please remember to bring something for them. For teen girls…clothing, makeup, curling irons, jewelry, etc. are great gifts. For teen boys…gift cards to food places, Target, Walmart, etc. are perfect for them.
The Half Marathon and 2 Person Relay share the same race route, relay runners will exchange their bib at the mid-way point in Plaza Park, Downtown Oxnard.

Important-There are no shuttles taking 2 Person Relay Runners from the Finish Line to the Start line in the morning. You must park at the Palms Outlets if you expect to make it to your start on time.
Our shuttles will be moving runners between “The Palms” parking area to the Half Marathon and 2 Person Relay Start Lines.
If you are the first runners in the Relay load on to the shuttles marked for "Half Marathon Start Line."
If you are the second runner in the Relay load on the the shuttles marked for the "Relay Hand off Zone." These shuttles will take you to Plaza Park in Oxnard where you will await your partner for the hand off.
First Shuttle Leaves At 5:15 Am Last Shuttle Leaves At 7:00 Am. Get There Early And Give Yourself Plenty Of Time.
*If you wish to drop off your loved ones, drop them off at the shuttle drop off area close to the start line. Exit Rice Rd. and head towards Ventura Blvd. Turn right on Ventura Blvd. Drop off anywhere along the curb before the road closure or turn into the first driveway. Watch out for shuttles dropping off other runners. Then head over to the finish line where there is plenty of parking.
After you have finished running and enjoyed all the festivities at the Finish Line. Shuttles well be available to take you back to the Palms Outlets where you parked earlier in the morning.
Shuttles will be lined up at the Finish Area along Harbor Blvd. and running from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
