Referral Program

  • Immediately after registering you will get a popup window with a referral code you can share with others. (This code is also in your confirmation email)
  • For every 3 runners that use your code, you will get $40 back if you are in the Half marathon, $33 if you are in the Quarter Marathon, or $23 if you are in the 5k, regardless of the event they sign up for. The more people you get to sign up with your referral code, the more you get back until you run for free! ***

Already registered and need your referral code again? No problem- here is how to find it.

  • Login to Runsignup
  • Click on “Profile” in the upper right corner menu
  • Scroll down to the “Upcoming Events Section” and click on “Manage Registration” next to Santa to the Sea.
  • Click on the “Resend confirmation email/barcode” button towards the top.
    • Be sure to check your spam folder if not in your inbox.

*** Diaper Dash and Kids 1k entries are not eligible for nor do they count towards referral discounts.

 

Group discounts

Got a group of 5 or more friends or family that want to all signup? Awesome! We are honored and excited to have you. See below for how to take advantage of our Group Rates

  • Runner #1 signs up and creates a team during their registration and pays regular price.
  • The next 4 runners must click Join Existing team during registration and join the team when they register and pay regular price
  • after 5 runners, runners 1-5 will get an automatic refund of $15
  • If the team continues to grow runners 6, 7, 8 etc….. will get an automatic $15 off whatever registration is for the half and $10 for the 1/4 and 5k.

 

Donation Discounts

Want a tax-deductible donation? Oh, and do you want a discount on your registration at the same time? See below for how your 100% tax-deductible donation can save you money on registering. Santa’s 501c3 # 26-3529617

  • $20 donation = $10 off registration
  • $40 donation = $25 off registration
  • $60 donation = $40 off registration
  • $100 donation = $70 off registration (max discounted amount cannot exceed registration fee…i.e. 5k is $53.99 at the time of donation, the max discount will be $53.99)

We Offer Race Day Packet Pick Up for an ADDITIONAL $30.00, if you are unable to make it the FREE Saturday Packet Pick Up Expo. You can add this option during registration or edit your Run Sign Up account later if you wish to add it then.

Until November 24 11:59pm we will also be offering a mail option. We will mail you your chip and bib for an ADDITIONAL $30.00. Now you can just show up and run. You can then pick up your shirt and goodie bag at the finish line expo after the race.

Yes, as long as a particular event has not sold out, you can still sign up the day before the race.

Yes, there is lots of parking at Channel Islands Harbor, near the Marine Emporium Landing. Great area for spectating and cheering on your loved ones.

Yes, you can drop off runners near the start. See directions for dropping runners off at the Half or Quarter Start Here

You can walk the course — there is a 4-HOUR TIME LIMIT with rolling course openings. If you are in a section of the course that reopens to traffic please move to the shoulder or sidewalk and obey all rules of the road–We will wait for everyone at the Finish Line. Strollers are allowed, but please stay to the back, your time starts when you cross the start mat. If you have a friendly dog, on a leash, you two can walk the 5k ONLY.

Yes, this event is rain or shine — SORRY NO REFUNDS.

The course will be marked at every mile, with a running Santa Mile Marker as well as lined with cones and turn by turn arrows on saw horses.

We would love to have you as a volunteer, the more we have the more fun this event is. In last years STTS we had almost 500 volunteers. As a volunteer you will receive a Santa To The Sea volunteer t-shirt and the pride of helping your community. For More Info, Check Out Our Volunteers Page.

We will post results on our website after the race. The timing company will have kiosks at the finish line area to check results as well as a QR code to check from your phone. About 10 days before our event you will receive an email with your Athlete Info Packet containing a link to sign up for instant results and/or athlete tracking.

Yes, approximately every 2 miles there will be water stations and Port-O-Potties.

Yes, awards are given to the top 3 men and women overall in the Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon and 5k. Top 3 Age Group Finishers. Prizes are also available for the Costume Contest.

Yes, If you are dropping down in distance (i.e. the Half Marathon to the 5k) the transfer is FREE, but there are NO REFUNDS. If you are transferring to a higher priced event (i.e. 5K to the Half, 5K to the Quarter, or Quarter to the Half) transfer fee applies.

How To Transfer Your Registration to Another Event:

  • Login to your Run Sign Up account you created when registering
  • Click on My Profile
  • Under Up Coming Events Santa To The Sea Half Marathon click Manage Registration
  • Click on the Transfer Event Tab and follow the instructions.

Yes.

  • Login to your Run sign up account.
  • Click on My Profile
  • Under Up Coming Events find Santa To The Sea Half Marathon and click on Manage Registration
  • Then click the Transfer to Another Runner button
  • Complete the information needed and follow the prompts

Deferrals (transferring this year’s registration to next year’s event). There is a $30.00 processing fee to defer. If you want to defer from this year to the next:

  • Login to your Run sign up account you created when registering and click on My Profile
  • Under Upcoming Events locate Half Marathon and click on Manage Registration button
  • Click on Defer Registration and complete any needed information and then click Confirm Payment and Deferral button
  • Once you finish, we will store your information for the next year’s event. You will not be automatically registered the following year, you will need to claim that registration with a special link we will send out a few weeks after registration opens.

Once registration for the next year opens up, we send a reserved registration link to all those who deferred via the email you used when registering. Simply use that link to sign up for next years event. Be sure to check your spam for the email.

All sales are final No Refunds. As runner’s safety is paramount, race management reserves the right to postpone or cancel the event due to events out of management’s control such as extreme weather conditions or other emergencies as determined by race management. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances.
