Upcoming Kids Runs In Ventura County | Santa to the Sea
If you are planning on running in a race, there are a few things that you can do to make sure that you have a successful race day. First, make sure to get a good night’s sleep the night before the race or a 5k starts for marathon runners.
Pace yourself during the race after leaving the start line. You don’t want to start out too fast and then run out of energy. Finally, celebrate after you finish the race! You did it, enjoy the Ventura County fairgrounds in your spare time after a full marathon!
After you finish a race, it is important to cool down and stretch. This will help to prevent any muscle soreness. It is also important to drink plenty of fluids, especially if it is a hot day. You want to make sure that you stay hydrated.
Finally, make sure to eat something before the race starts. You have burned a lot of energy during the race, so it is important to replenish your body point to point.
Santa to the Sea biggest 1K kids running event is dedicated to celebrating the future running stars.
Our supervised, non-competitive 1K Kid’s Fun Run starts near the Santa to the Sea finish line, in the EXPO area. The 1K Kids Run is recommended for children 3 years old and up.
This will be a fantastic day as many of the children will participate in the race for the first time. With volunteers cheering along the way, the children will follow a paved route, ending with a final sprint through the official finisher’s chute and under the Santa to the Sea arch. Parents may run with younger children or cheer them along the course. This race will bring local community together in generosity and will increase team spirit along with fundraising skills.
*Course is subject to change without notice
There are no aid stations out on the 1k course, but plenty of water and post run food in the Expo Area.
All participants will receive a collectible finisher’s medal and t-shirt.
Santa’s Village is open to all children who are enjoying the Santa to the Sea event. Kids can participate in holiday crafts, games, and activities. CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES.
Please arrive early to check in, as parking is limited. Pick up your child’s bib and shirt during packet pick up or on event morning at the registration table.
This Christmas we want to help make the holiday exceptional for low-income families by providing toys for the thousands of children who are left without them every year across America. As our vision is a future where everyone in the USA has Christmas gifts, food, and college scholarships. Santa to the Sea is a wonderful opportunity to get the whole family involved in the Spirit of Giving each year.
